William "Bill" Hao Kauhane Baker from 1932, was a transfer student to Weber College from Hawai'i and played on the football team in the early 1930s. Bill was a great player even though he had only one arm. Another prominent football player from the 1930s is George Zane, who also transferred from McKinley High School in Hawai’i as a part of a student exchange program between the schools. Coaches during this decade include: Merlon Stevenson (1929-1932), Reed Swenson (1933-1936), & Bob Davis (1937-1945).
