• Watson-Tanner Clothing Co.
  The Watson-Tanner Clothing Company on 24th Street was one of six major clothing stores providing fashions for men.
• Dairy Queen
  In 1948 you could get a Deluxe sundae for .15 and Jumbo Sundae for .25. Dairy Queen is still one of the best places in town for ice cream.
• Utah Noodle Parlor
  Located on Grant Street, this iconic restaurant was the place to go for a hot date. The parlor opened its doors in the 40's and closed them for the last time in 2012.
• Swenson Motor Company
  Students posing with Crosley automobiles from the Swenson Motor Company dealership located on both Kiesel Avenue and Riverdale Road.
• Patsy's Popcorn
  "Let Patsy's attend your party with fresh Buttered Popcorn, Butterscotch Popcorn, Strawberry or Chocolate. All kinds salted nuts, caramel, cinnamon or chocolate coated apples--6 flavors salt water taffy. Patsy's Popcorn Shop located at 2574 Washington Boulevard.
• Jack Crane
  Jack Crane's bakery and café on Washington Boulevard was open 24 hours a day to satisfy any 3 AM cravings. The site is now occupied by the Utah State Tax Commission.

  Swanson's Shoes, "Exclusively Shoes Professionally Fit"
• Smalley's Keepsake Diamond Rings
  Smalley's Keepsake Diamond Rings was located on 2479 Washington Boulevard.
• Rusty's
  RUSTY'S on Riverdale Road and Wall was a big hit before and after a game serving malts, sandwiches, beer, fountain drinks and ice cream.
